Pieces of the Puzzle

I think my work has always aimed to gather together seemingly disparate elements… crossing perceptual barriers and making connections. The way I make artwork echoes this and the way I have come to see the landscape does too… fragments linking together to create a whole that we are too often taught not to see.

Stitching and Weaving

Recycled fabric, polythene and string, stitched into stuffed pockets inspired by bacteria and viruses, then layered over a sheep skull.

New Wearable Work

An image of some new work in progress… returning to using using recycled materials, found imagery and collected objects onto pieces of clothing… ties, jackets, shirts. Interrupting the image of the wearer and hinting at interconnection of body, material and ‘nature’.
